A creepy portrait of a crocodile conserving a watchful, yellow eye from a mud pool is the grand prize winner of the 2022 World Nature Images Awards (WNPA), which honored essentially the most evocative photographs from hundreds of entries in a wide range of classes. The picture was taken in Zimbabwe by Jens Cullmann of Germany, who received the award for World Nature Photographer of the 12 months and scooped high prize for Animal portraits..
